New Gehlberg Hut

The Neue Gehlberger is located on the 978-meter-high Schneekopf mountain in the Thuringian Forest and is considered the highest managed hut and hikers' hostel in the state (situated at approximately 964 meters). It is a very popular destination for hikers, cyclists, and winter sports enthusiasts, as it lies in close proximity to the famous Rennsteig trail.
